Spring Nabors Service Day Recap

Saturday April 27th W&L and VMI celebrated Nabors Service Day with community partners and Eddie and Doris Nabors.  Here is a picture summary of the day:

We also received many notes of gratitude:

From Yellow Brick Road

I just wanted to say thank you. The students that came to Yellow Brick Road Early Learning Center were absolutely wonderful. They worked very hard and very diligently. They were willing to do any job I had for them. Please pass on our thanks as our children will be safer on our playground with our new wood chips.

From the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center

Dear Friends at Nabor’s Service League,

Thank you so much for sending volunteers to support Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center on Saturday.

The ladies that came and painted our conference room did an impressive job.  The members of the group were engaging and demonstrated professionalism and a sincere interest in BRAAC.  I look forward to future opportunities to work with these fine young people.

Keep up the great service!!

From Waddell Elementary School

I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated all of the help we received last Saturday.  We truly could not have finished our project without all of the volunteers.  Please pass along my gratitude to everyone involved, including Mr. and Mrs. Nabors.  It was wonderful to meet them.

And from RockBridge Family Services

What a great group of young adults you have working with the NSL! Adrian, Myrna, Tom, Dan, and Keifer were fabulous in helping us take down the Car Show tents and tables.

Your organization and assistance is invaluable.

Thanks again!

Do you have any other pictures from Saturday’s service day?  Please email them to nabors@wlu.edu and we’ll add them to our gallery!
